It isn’t too late for anyone to try new technologies anywhere. These elderly mallgoers in Butuan City prove this as they squeeze in time to check out the country’s first digital science library during their malling spree. A project of the Department of Science and Technology-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII), the digital library is called STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk System) which was recently launched at the mall. STARBOOKS boasts of free S&T materials in various formats, is user friendly and does not require  Internet connectivity. STARBOOKS will also be featured during DOST’s National Science and Technology Week from July 24-28, 2015 at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. (Text by Joy M.
