Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) to sign agreement with the UNOOSA for international space cooperation

The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) will sign an agreement on space cooperation with the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) to strengthen the institutions’ shared commitment to the peaceful uses of outer space.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PhilSA and the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNOOSA) will provide a framework for cooperation between the two parties to collaborate on various strategic areas, initiatives, and activities related to space science, technology, policy, law, education, and capacity-building. With the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the MOU aims to further strengthen the cooperation between PhilSA and UNOOSA in promoting the utilization of space for socioeconomic and sustainable development objectives.

The TechSilog Online Seminar Series of the Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) Batangas made another breakthrough recently after recording its greatest number of participants in a single episode at 1,708. The topic discussed was School Canteen Food Safety Management in the New Normal.
DOST-CALABARZON banners 12 technologies in StARTT during Tech Transfer Day

DOST grants Central Mindanao University with P2.9M for innovative food products

With the advent of the new normal, innovations in food production have become an integral part of the food industry to attain food resiliency and ensure food security. These innovations have become the priority areas of the research and development (R&D) agenda, particularly in the fields of industry, energy, and emerging technologies in the region.
In response, the Department of Science and Technology Region X (DOST-X) recently funded a research proposal from the Central Mindanao University entitled “Spray Drying of Fruit Vegetable Juice Blends from Abundant and Underutilized Food Crops in Bukidnon” which amounts to more than Php 2.9million.
