High school students take part in “Amazing Science Race,” the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) version of the popular reality TV show “Amazing Race” during its ongoing Science Festival at the DOST Complex in Taguig City. Photos show the participants accomplishing their tasks at DOST’s Science and Technology Information Institute (STII) - one of the designated stations of the race where they used STII’s digital science library dubbed STARBOOKS or Science and Technology Academic and Research-based Openly Operated Kiosks. As of December 2015, STII has installed STARBOOKS in 783 sites all over the Philippines including school libraries. Science Festival, which ran from December 7-11, included other activities such as forums, career talks, poster contest, livelihood training, bazaar, and others.
