Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato Dela Pena shares some of the DOST programs that enhance the quality of the products of farmers and MSMEs in the agriculture sector. Sec. de la Peña was the keynote speaker during the opening day of the recent “Regional Workshop on Enhancing Innovation and Competitiveness of MSMEs in Response to the ASEAN Integration for Agro-enterprise” held at Diamond Hotel in Manila. The said workshop aims to help government and its partner institutions gather information and practical knowledge; and come up with policy recommendations that would enable our smallholder farmers and MSMEs to have easier access to various innovative agriculture technologies.(Text by: Allan Mauro V. Engr.
