Several media companies in Zamboanga City recently received free face shields developed by the Department of Science and Technology Region IX (DOST-IX) in partnership with ZinexZign Express.

A total of 200 pieces of the Benefical Life Apparatus by Zinex Express and DOST (BLAZED) face shields have been allocated for the local media, with over 70 pieces already released to members of the Philippine Information Agency Region IX (PIA-IX), the City Information Office, RadyoPilipinas, Radio Mindanao Network (RMN), and the Zamboanga Press Club.
The collaboration between DOST and Zinex aims to produce and distribute 6,000 more face shields for hospitals and frontliners in the Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi (ZamBaSulTa) area.
