The Department of Science and Technology Region XI (DOST XI) is now accepting entries for the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE), a nationwide activity conducted in different regions to recognize the indispensability of the Filipino inventors to the Philippine society and national economic development. This serves as the qualifying round for the National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE) in 2022.
The competition is open for both the public and private sector Filipino inventors and researchers residing within Davao Region. Inventors may qualify in five categories, such as the Tuklas Award for the most outstanding invention, Outstanding Utility Model, Outstanding Industrial Design, Likha Award for the most outstanding research and development (R&D) of a technology, and Sibol Award for the most creative research in high school and college levels.
Call for entries starts on March 1, 2021 to October 3, 2021. Contestants must submit all required documents to the DOST XI not later than the said date.
