DOST-assisted food products in vendo machine

Guests can now grab some yummy snacks and refreshing drinks at the drop of some coins or paper bills while visiting the exhibits at the 2018 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW). Held on July 17-21, 2018 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, the NSTW features among others the Innovation Lounge of the OneSTore Hub which houses this vendo. The vendo dispenses products DOST-assisted enterprises through the flagship program called Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program or SETUP. Products available include Mahi-Mahi chips, chili sauce and other condiments, Bugnay wine and Civet coffee from Kalinga, crunchy peanut butter, local chocolate bars from GenSan, Chicharabao chicharon and cornik snacks from the Cagayan and Ilocos regions, laing from Bico, specialty sardines, guyabano tea, and others. Meanwhile, all products on display at the shelves at the Marketplace section are also available online through the DOST shopping portal called OneSTore.ph. DOST-MIRDC bares S&T services in science week

In the upcoming National Science and Technology Week 2018slated on July 17-21, 2018 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will be holding a forum to showcase the different S&T services provided by the center that includes the various testing facilities.
The forum will be held on 18 July 2018 from 1:00-3:00PM with Engr. Rodnel O. Tamayo, chief science research specialist of the DOST-MIRDC’s Materials and Process Research Division of DOST-MIRDC. Engr. Tamayo will present the DOST-MIRDC’s Auto Parts testing Laboratory; the Die and Mold Solution Center; the Gear Making and Assembly Facility; the Finite Element Analysis Design Center; the Surface Engineering Facility; and the Investment Casting.

Riding on the buzz word called innovation, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) gathers experts to impart their knowledge in empowering small and medium enterprises and startup businesses during the week-long celebration of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) this year.
The NSTW that will be held from July 17-21, 2018 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City has the theme, “Innovation for Collective Prosperity”. The science department advocates innovation as one of the driving forces for inclusive growth particularly in the countryside.

DOST kickstarts NSTW Mindanao in Davao

The sixth of July became a landmark day as the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) was launched outside of Metro Manila for the first time, and this happened at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang, Davao City.
