Watch Me Pedal, Rope Puzzle, Feel the Shake and Cyclone are some of the exhibits found in the Regional Science Centrum
The Department of Science and Technology-MIMAROPA (DOST-MIMAROPA), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Marinduque, Office of the House Representative of Marinduque, and Marinduque State College (MSC), is set to launch the first-ever interactive science exhibits in the region in the first quarter of 2022, in time for the scheduled visit of DOST Secretary Fortunato T. de la Pena to the province.

DOST-PCHRD honors Dr. Rizal, a Medical Scientist

As the country commemorated his 125th death anniversary and martyrdom last 30 December 2021, and in time for the celebration of the Department of Science and Technology’s – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development’s (DOST-PCHRD) 40th founding anniversary, the Council kicked off with a webinar titled, “Dr. Jose Rizal, a Medical Scientist” on 25 January 2022.
Prof. Fortunato T. de la Peña, Secretary of the DOST, gave his welcome message during the webinar about Rizal’s valued characteristics as a hero, scientist, and a doctor.
DOST-NCR supports development of ready-to-drink juice from indigenous crops

Care to enjoy tropical fruits as a refreshing drink?
Fully aware of the great market potential of ready-to-drink fruit juices, the Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) provided funding and technical support for the project titled "Development of Ready-To-Drink (RTD) Juice from Indigenous Crop Yacon, Green Carabao Mango (Sweet Elena Variety) and Mint Essence". This initiative is a collaborative research and development (R&D) project with the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and Vinoca Manufacturing under the DOST-NCR Regional Grants-In-Aid Program. This program promotes synergy in research and development by bridging the gap between educational institutions and the private sector primarily to address concerns of manufacturers using science, technology, and innovation.
