Despite obstacles brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) continues to empower students in the elementary, high school and college levels with the Invent School Program or ISP.
Because of the pandemic, DOST-TAPI explored online platforms and tailor-fitted its training to deliver the same quality of innovation-inspiring activities and discussions going beyond the traditional face-to-face workshops and seminars.

Dabawenyo start-up to represent PH in International Competition

A group composed of students from the University of Mindanao (UM) – Davao City Campus will be the sole startup group to represent the Philippines in the Hult Prize 2021 on August 8 to September 12, 2021, at Ashridge Castle, London, United Kingdom.

In a virtual forum-webinar titled, “Intro to FabLab: Demo on Basic 3D Modeling”, the Department of Science and Technology Region V’s (DOST-V) Provincial S&T Center Camarines Sur and the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) Manufacturing and Fabrication Laboratory (ManFabLab) jointly pushed for the adoption of 3D modeling technology.
