A student enjoys the experience as her hair stands on end upon trying the Van de Graaff Generator exhibited during the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) at the SMX Convention Center on July 24-28, 2014. The Van de Graaff Generator, a useful tool in physics research, is just one of the various technologies exhibited during the NSTW to demonstrate science concepts to the general public in an interesting and interactive manner. Organized by the Department of Science and Technology, NSTW is an annual celebration that showcases locally developed technologies, inventions, and innovations (S&T Media Service).
