The Department of Science and Technology-National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) is now accepting nominations for its prestigious annual awards – the NRCP Achievement Award, the Outstanding Institution Award, and the NRCP Member Emeritus Award.
Regular Members of the DOST-NRCP are invited to submit nominations on the following award categories.
The NRCP Achievement Award is the highest recognition given by the Council to its outstanding members for their achievements in the fields of natural sciences, health sciences, engineering, industry, social sciences and the humanities.
The Outstanding Institution Award is given to institutions that have dedicated support and initiatives that led to the advancement of basic sciences, the humanities and the arts in the country.
Lastly, the NRCP Member Emeritus Award recognizes member’s distinguished lifetime accomplishments in research and for mentoring younger scientists and researchers.
NRCP started conferring the Achievement Award in 1979, while the Member Emeritus in 2011 and Outstanding Institution in 2012. Honorees will be conferred during the 87th NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and General Membership Assembly in March 10 2020.
Nominations may be submitted to the concerned Division Chairperson not later than October 28, 2019. Nominees’ supporting documents are to be submitted to the NRCP Secretariat on or before 30 November 2019.
