The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our ways of doing things and almost everything went online. The digital platform has become highly relevant for many sectors, from teaching, learning, working, training, and even in doing business.

To raise awareness and help netizens on the proper use of the tools, resources, and online platforms in the New Normal, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) will launch the “Digital Tayo” webinar series as part of the post-Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) virtual celebration in Davao Region.

True to its mission of bringing science and technology to the people, the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) through its Department of Science and Technology-Davao de Oro (DOST-DDO) conducted a community validation with Brgy. Need to rehydrate, try “Bukolyte,” a new powdered coconut juice drink developed by the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) food innovation facility.

Bukolyte as its brand, will be launched on 24 November 2021 at the SM City Davao, Ecoland which will also showcase other Food Processing Innovation Center-Davao (FPIC-Davao) services, products and innovations. Bukolyte is one of the various innovative food products developed from the FPIC–Davao.

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office V (DOST V) is all set to turn-over 2,500 of the Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Arroz Caldo on 19 November 2021 to the Municipalities of Viga and Pandan in the province of Catanduanes. 

The Regional Office will also distribute 4,680 packs of Rice-Mongo-Sesame Blend for Complementary Feeding to 39 severely underweight Pre-school children also in Pandan, Catanduanes.
