The Businessworld published on June 3, 2015 the countries that met the 2015 Millennium Development Goal of halving the number of undernourished people from a quarter of a century ago. This includes the Philippines which posted the number of undernourished at 16.7 million in 1990-1992 to 13.7 million in 2014-2016. This represented a decrease from 26.3% to 13.5% of total population.
