Three webinars on textile and fashion innovations will be hosted by the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on 25 November 2020, at 1PM, as part of the first-ever virtual celebration of the 2020 National Science and Technology Week.

To highlight the best practices of the communities empowered through the support of different science, technology, and innovation (STI) programs, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region VIII is set to award the Best Community Empowerment Through Science and Technology (CEST) beneficiaries during its forum on Wednesday, 25 November 2020, 9:00-11:00 AM, as part of the country’s National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) virtual celebration this year. 

In recent years, the exhibition of the latest innovative technologies and services plus having the chance to meet our science heroes is the main reason why the staging of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) has been a regular box-office hit. 

As part of the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) role in pursuing a gender-sensitive society, the Gender and Development and Regional Support Service (GRSS) will spearhead an online discussion on the importance of gender mainstreaming as a strategy in designing science and technology programs during the 2020 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW).

Highlighting the indispensable role of science in the country’s rise from the pandemic, the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) joins hands with the DOST and its line agencies in the virtual celebration of the 2020 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) from November 23 to 29.
