Electoral Boards of (EBs) who will serve in the upcoming national election in May are currently undergoing the simultaneous certification program conducted by the Department of Science and Technology Region IX.

As part of the National Women’s month celebration this March, the Department of Science and Technology Region I (DOST-I), in collaboration with DZAG Radyo Pilipinas Agoo, staged its Regional Standards and Testing Laboratory (RSTL) services on 10 March 2022, via Zoom and DOST-I Facebook page.

The broadcast was attended by DOST-I Regional Director  Armando Q. Ganal; Lena C. Rosario, Laboratory Head and Technical Manager for Chemical Laboratory; Technical Managers Annalie L. Rosales for Shelf-Life and Sensory Evaluation, Hero D. Galamgam for Microbiology Laboratory, and Raymond P. Espe, Regional Metrology Laboratory technical staff.

The Science and Technology Information Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-STII) welcomes the new partnership for the grassroots with the Association of Science and Mathematics Educators of the Philippine Private Schools (ASMEPPS) during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding held on 15 March 2022 at the host campus, St. Francis of Assisi College-Bacoor Campus. The partnership will capacitate the students and faculty personnel of the 160 ASMEPPS participating members to hone their talents and skills in communicating science through various media platforms and enhance their capabilities in content creation. Some of the activities that will form part of the partnership are the training on science communication writing, audio and video productions, and resource and publication sharing.

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office I (DOST-I) held a consultative meeting with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Adams, Ilocos Norte, and other agency partners to formulate plans and strategies related to the conduct of the DOST’s Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program. The project is titled “Engaging Local Communities with Science, Technology, and Innovation for Development” was formally sealed on 7 March 2022.

Diño (Seated 2nd from right) signifying the start of the new partnership that will carry out the information caravan dubbed as MAGHANDA or the Meteorological And Geological Hazard Advisories, Warning and Notifications for Decisive Action in 17 regions across the country.
