MALASIQUI, Pangasinan -- The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office I (DOST-I), through its Provincial Science and Technology Center in Pangasinan (PSTC - Pangasinan) awarded a Bamboo Splitter Machine to the ‘kaing’ (Bamboo Basket) makers of Barangay Pasima, Malasiqui, Pangasinan last 30 March 2022, as part of the implementation of the Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development (iSTART) Program.

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office I (DOST-I) in partnership with SM Prime Holdings, launched an exhibit titled, 'Connecting Today to Tomorrow' last 28 March 2022, at SM City Rosales, Pangasinan. The event featured sustainability and disaster resilience initiatives of the DOST as well as the efforts being done by the private sector like SM Prime Holdings.
Herald D. Eleria, SM City Rosales Mall Manager, stated that the activity is an initiative of SM Prime Holdings towards reinforcing its commitment to protecting the environment and the community and fostering sustainability and disaster resiliency, not only for the private sector but also for the public sectors and the individuals.
